Hounding Wolves

Who saw the wolves outside her door

Biting bitterly sinews cold

Howling wind and his intent bold

Retreating shadows in night’s core?

Did he care for blood-splattered floor

Or hurled on her bolt after bolt

Till no more her body could hold?

Did the reckless villain ignore?

Soon fate be sealed and justice served

Nation throngs with candles in hand

Protest till this culture is curbed

Together hand in hand they stand

On roads till welled-up rage is heard

Sans mercy debaucher be hanged.
