Illusion of Love
“Everything about her was a lie!!” He asserted gazing at the officer sitting before him, who's busy scanning him and the house in between while noting down the information.
“How did you come across her?? Any common friend? Or some party?” The officer, Kabir inquires, tossing the pen between his fingers.
The guy, Gautam, stared at the officer probably trying to figure out how to start with his story - actually her story!!
He lets out a deep sigh and opens up about Vaani, who's the reason for his miserable condition. He met Vaani at the wedding of his friend eight months back, she was one of the guests like him. They came across at the food counter and exchanged greetings after which by chance, they settled on the same table where they opened up to each other.
It was the moment that Gautam got to know that the lady is the cousin of one of his good friends who's settled in Jodhpur and couldn't come to attend the wedding so he sent his cousin on his behalf. The lady also shared that her cousin doesn't treat her well and she's looking for a job to help herself.
Gautam offered her a job quickly in his Company and also an apartment, actually a room in his flat until she finds other accommodation. He assumed her to be genuine and that his friend was actually bossy and rude. He believed her story very easily. Though the girl denied at first but later accepted the offer, probably because she really needed the job.
Vaani joined the office next day and also shifted to his apartment that very day. In no time, became good friends and then passionate lovers. Gautam had never felt that way before, the girl loved him so much and shared every single detail of her life which he believes, well he doesn't have any reason to doubt her, until last night.
It was her birthday yesterday and like a loving boyfriend Gautam had spent a huge amount to celebrate the day, especially because she had mentioned several times that she had never thrown a party on her birthday but she wished for one so he did it for her.
Everything went well but things got a little messed up by the end of the party when he realized that he's losing senses. Vaani helped him to their room where he fell on the bed losing his consciousness.
“She played with me. She was with me only to loot me and I gave her the chance, I realized it too late!! Sir, she even took my clothes!! I'm left with only this vest and shorts!!” Gautam spoke frustratedly.
The realization that the girl actually tricked him to loot is driving him insane. Also, when he realized his position in the morning he immediately called his friend whom she was talking about and got to know that everything she mentioned was only a lie!! Truly, everything about her was a lie!!!
