Inch By Inch

Stuck in the sea of cars around

Driver's hopes dwindle down

Numerous tail lights flicker like fireflies

Signals blink red with tempers soaring high

Heavy fumes from engines choke the masses

Surrender to traffic like a drop in the urban current

Time crawls, burdened by the weight of boredom

Minutes stretch as highway turns into a chaotic spot

Trapped drivers are caught in space, still and slow

When car inches forward at snail's speed

Destination gets closer as relief spreads
