Little Chand

"Come, son, and listen to the story
Of Little Chand." The shepherd called out.
"Story?! Yes, pa!", the excited child bobbed,
Ran across the meadow, and settled down.
"One day, near the cliff south of the village,
Little Chand was herding sheep. To rest,
And enjoy the view, he sat at the edge.
Suddenly, the winds grew stronger, and
Blew him off, into the river below."
He paused, and but for sheep, there was silence.
"And then?" the son queried, and he continued,
"A fisherman fished him out with a net
And took him home to his parents.
Thus, beware cliffs, for the falls are mighty."
