Moonlight Dream Dance

The moonlight dances on the quiet sea, A gentle breeze whispers through the night, In dreams, I find where I'm supposed to be. The waves keep time, with rhythmic lullaby, Above, the stars form constellations bright. Above, the stars form patterns hard to see, Below, the world's embraced in soft moonlight; The moonlight dances on the quiet sea. I hold my breath, absorbed in lunar glow, As nighttime whispers secrets, soft and low. I close my eyes and let my spirit free, In silver beams, my worries take their flight, In dreams, I find where I'm supposed to be. The world sleeps on, while I am wide awake, In dreams, I find the risks that I will take. The water's edge, it seems, is calling me, The tide's a lullaby that hugs me tight; The moonlight dances on the quiet sea. Awake or not, my dreams will set me free, Each ripple, touch a promise, in the night. In dreams, I'm who I've longed so much to be, A fearless soul, unshackled and so bright, In dreams, I find where I'm supposed to be. No sun, no dawn, just endless mystery; In moonlight's glow, I find my purest sight, The moonlight dances on the quiet sea, In dreams, I find where I'm supposed to be.     Penmancy gets a small share of every purchase you make through these links, and every little helps us continue bringing you the reads you love!
