Mother’s Love

Every day running behind you With a food plate and water too We both had varied things to do Carrying you to the playground with the toys in the bag Listening to your stories with constant fun and a nag For a curious puppy to love and his tail to wag Saved you from that world and bad Knowing you would drive me mad Made me happy, made me sad Rumors when they poured A mother ignored Leave my child, I roared Then came the sad part Ripped my heart apart Death laid a new start
