My Home

Dreams flutter in dense ochre brick walls,

Strong roofs shelter idyllic stories of yore,

Chipped windows open, to naughty nature’s rustle

And knock of seasons in dynamic cadence.

Garden trees hold united, boughs spread askew,

I savour treats stolen off musty shelves,

A heart beats for me, my home.
