Nostalgic Walk
Twilight greeted us from afar
Stars twinkled and winked at us from the sky.
Moon peered shyly from behind the clouds
Its effulgence illuminating our path.
A chilly breeze stirred up and ruffled
Her billowing turquoise saree
A light zephyr caressed her black tresses
And the soft tendrils framing her face.
She was such a pulchritudinous sight
She glanced at me with a coy smile,
When my fingers intertwined around her's
And I soflty pulled her closer to me.
We both felt the same twinges and sparks
That we did twenty two years ago
When I had knelt and asked for her hand
On a similar starlit evening.
