Pangs of Separation

She closed the door and heaved a sigh Emotions bruised by the goodbye Cost her life a price very high. Knowing not where and when things took an unexpected turn Crushed dreams, shattered love and misery became her concern The encountering alleys she vouched never to return. Forgetting was a hard thing When memories still did cling With tears she pulled out the ring. Consent laid to sign Heat fractured to pine Forever to whine. Scarred soul mourned in vain Dank days wrapt in pain Strain drove her insane.
