Precious You
A proud father, you make me glow,
Dear me I know; the love you show.
Do I have to give you away?
Your love for me will never sway, is all I know.
A vigorous competition,
You needed no invitation.
To report mischief was your plan,
Helping me whenever you can, but with caution.
By my side promising, I do,
Being there your entire life too.
Giving me strength when I lose mine,
For it is you dear why I shine, I say thank you.
Called a Mother, you are my friend,
You are sure there, where my needs end.
Why care what the world thinks of me?
I know you will be there to see, when milestones bend.
Note- Each stanza is dedicated to the women by the men in their lives. The father, the brother, the husband and the son.
