Searching a Better Life

Searching better life she holds the child in her lap  Searing eyes scanning in a steady walk She leaves her motherland forever in sorrowful tears  Beholden her smile for child's brightest  joyous Storms of dryness devoid of rain  Starving long, bellys cried in pain Awaited long in the barren land  She stepped her firmness  with a hopeful of command A better tomorrow with the rise of sun  Positive vibes crossing the threshold with beloved one Can't turn back as time too late  Reaching thou comfort far off solitary gate Sheltered herself in a refuge camp  Collides an angel fortressing her will, a feisty lamp  Paving the uncertain, in believing her strength Overcoming the bulges of destitute, she stands as totem Tall and independent
