The Night's Song
Nights waltz in,
Filled with a song,
Of their own,
One that is silent,
Yet melodious,
Gliding through air,
Unnoticed by mankind,
Who remain asleep.
They seem to say,
It is time to pause,
For a little bit,
Before we proceed,
And we must,
Let the Moon,
And the glistening Stars,
Romance for a while,
With a soft ballad,
Playing in their ears.
And when they hear,
The Dawn shifting,
Ready to rise,
They gently wash,
Over the night sky,
Changing into,
A soft, amber hue,
As they part ways,
With the promise,
To meet again,
Each night,
And continue,
To sing the song,
A symphony,
Of their union,
For eternity.
