The Scarlet Alleys

Those dark alleys were lit with suggestive scarlet hues  Where she walked wantonly in her high heeled shoes  Masking the discomfort of a dress that snugly fit   With suggestive scarlet hues, those dark alleys were lit  Her garish make-up hid the blue bruise, like a conjuring stick  In her exhausted eyes, unshed tears did prick  Oh! Lecherous looks and the lamentable life she'd to choose  Like a conjuring stick, her garish make-up hid the blue bruise   Just before dawn, she tiptoed back to her dingy room  One look at her cherubic child dispelled all her gloom  Her sole reason to live, he gave her the strength to plod on  She tiptoed back to her dingy room, just before dawn.  Pic: From Google
