Life became gloomy and dull
when my son left me solus,
counting days in an old-age home.
I, alone fighting emotions
with deteriorating health,
gathered vigour to start afresh.
There I bumped into him again.
Dreamt of growing old together,
but fate hadn’t been in our favour.
Recalling our golden memoirs,
owing to our senility,
we caught back in the same spark.
We went ahead and tied the knot.
To give our lives a second chance,
we broke all the social norms.
Sharing dawn and dusk at 60,
found our solace in each other,
conquesting all the odds with pride.
