To Croon or not to Croon

To Croon or not to Croon

I bumped into Shakespeare,
who invited me for a beer.
In my heart raged a tempest,
as we talked about love and incest.

‘Why did you tame the shrew, not the man?’
I asked him, my face deadpan.
‘Oh, is this the trend?’
he asked. ‘I apologize sincerely, my friend.’

‘Nah! Much ado about nothing.’
I waved it away. So, let me sing,
pen down my rendezvous with the Bard,
for he did bring a smile in these times hard.
