Yani Had A Pretty Cat
Yani had a pretty cat,
His eyes were brown as berry,
And every day he made us laugh
A fellow jolly and merry;
One fine day in the month of May
He perched on a very high stool,
Yani got worried and sat to pray
But the cat didn’t lose his cool;
He sat there like a vigilant scout
And showed no signs of fear,
But shot a reproachful pout
To make his say very clear;
“Why did he climb up, do you know?”
Onlookers asked for a reply,
“Oh, he loves to put up a show,”
Yani answered with a sigh.
