My arthritic knees threaten to give way.
I enter a room, wonder if it’s mine.
Sleep envelopes me when the clock strikes nine.
The white streaks have overtaken the grey.
Sunday is as listless as a Monday.
My gestures look to many asinine.
What’s life without her? My lovely lifeline!
What would I do without her nature gay?
She’s the panacea to my ailment.
Life assumes seven hues when I sight her.
My love for her might seem to all ancient.
Without her, moments pass by in a blur.
Six decades she’s been my soulmate gallant.
Armed with a smile, we’ll cross the bridge yonder.
